The ATAR is a rank...but counting everyone of high school leaving age, not just those that do the HSC. So if you got an ATAR of 90 or more you are meant to be academically in the top 10%. UAC has lots of data about the distributions of ATARs of people who actually did the HSC on their website. Apparently to be in the top 10% of those who did the HSC (and got an ATAR) this year you needed to get 94.05 (which still sounds a bit high to me??)Does anyone know what ATAR needs to be attained to rank in the top 10 percent of the state?
