BoS research crew gotta get to the bottom of this one way or another.

Maybe it's one or the other or both depending on the situation / mentality of the perpetrator.
im really not expecting the "women's studies" crowd to actually have been honest with any of us

look @ africa m8s. as cosmo said, 30 something percent of males admit to rape. i'm sure if you go to north africa it's even higher. how can you propose that rape has nothing to do with the part of the brain that creates lust.

like anything in life, there are triggers for human reactions, aka what is going to set a rapist off. like if there is a rape-o-metre in his head, and its sitting at 50%, what things are going to add to it?

- time of day (obviously travelling at night makes this worse)
- is female alone or with friends (obvious)
- level of attractiveness (i dunno how important this is really, i'm assuming they're pretty crazy)
- and obviously it won't always be a deciding factor, but if sex-crazed male is walking through park and sees said woman, i think at BARE MINIMUM the clothes they are wearing is going to contribute in one way or another to his decision to act or not act on his urges.

A fair amount of research has also analyzed the effects of chemical castration on rapists and other sexual offenders. Chemical castration works similarly to surgical castration through its impact on male sexual hormone levels. Professor Lee Ellis wrote that “Various [chemical castration agents] have been shown to reduce testosterone and thereby diminish self-reported libido in men … including men involved in various sex offenses.” Thornhill and Palmer described results of other long-term chemical castration studies specifically done with rapists and wrote there is “considerable evidence to suggest that [chemical castration agents] reduce sexual crimes.”

Re: Guess she shouldn't have dressed like a slut I guess

if we can say that women shouldnt dress provocatively if they dont want to be raped etc

then you can say that kids shouldnt be kids/shouldnt x if they dont want to be abused

telling paedophiles not to abuse kids wont work so its up to kids to take precautions against being abused right

I agree with this, actually. It's far too bias to be valid unless there is statistical/scientific evidence with P-values and shit.

southern africa is worse than northern africa

no i was back on topic though be cause the article is about an 11yr old getting raped
then being shamed for dressing like a slut et al (shouldnt have dressed like that, induced rape etc)
but the kicker is that she is 11 so she cant consent anyway no matter what
but the funny part is that no rape victims consented
but

yeah i know mate im just being absurd
but also expressing a legitimate point
but being so absurd that it is lost in the absurdity

we also tell women not to accept drinks off strangers/leave drinks unattended

which is pretty similar to telling them not to dress like skanks
but no one complains about the drinks thing

hey wait you were right all along
it is the feminists
