Furniture priced at $20 000 is purchased. A deposit of 15% is paid.

The balance is borrowed using a flat-rate loan at 19% per annum interest, to be
repaid in equal monthly instalments over five years.

What will be the amount of each monthly instalment? Justify your answer with
suitable calculations

first find the amount to be repaid:
15% of 20 000 = $3000
20 000 - 3000 = $17000

Find the simple interest:
I = PRN
I = 17 000 x 19% x 5
I = $16150

then work out the monthly repayment
17000 + 16150 = $33150

number of instalments = 60

33150 divided by 60 = $552.50

19%x5x17000= 16150 interest

17000+16150 = 33150$

5x 12 = 60 months.

33150 / 60 = 552.50 per month not including deposit

are you series? It wasn't even that hard. If i had a dollar for anytime someone asked me why i was doing standard, I'd own a 20 dollar note. I picked standard, because i was stupid (and i can't change anymore, i can only move up- that is a completely different story). and cafs sadkasjdkasjd best things since procrastination. It makes studying somewhat enjoyable. Love it.

haha i don't give a shit if everyones hating on me for doing it, who cares. it was easy and relatively enjoyable. if you ever need help pm me, I got 95 overall (didn't finish 2 questions, other wise i totes could have state ranked)

and its like the hardest in relation to the topic - flat rate loans. theres harder topics like spherical geometry. also. yeah docent matter though, as long as you rape standard. my friend did the same subjects except pdh instead of chem and general instead of advanced and got 91.

i mean beat my sister to the state rank, i.e. she is doing cafs in 2013 as well. i didn't have a tutor I just memorised the textbook and regurgitated and linked to wellbeing.
