Should I put USYD economics or UNSW economics first in my UNI preferences???

They are as my back up for commerce. Which university should I put first?

Well for a start you could provide is with more information to help you such what you want from a university. They are both extremely good universities for Economics. I would suggest putting UNSW first as the atar entrance rank is higher than Sydney 94~ compared to 90~ so they pretty much work down your preferences in order of highest to lowest atar. I personally also think that UNSW has a more modern faculty in relation to Economics, but hey it depends what your looking for in a university.

Why not go to the open days and find out yourself?

If you've already missed out on the USYD open day today, then attend the UNSW one on the 1st of September (Saturday next week).

ATAR cut-offs are a reflection of supply/demand, not of course quality. Just because ANU has a lower cut-off for its law course than UTS doesn't mean that it's worse

Economics is an arts degree at usyd.
The School of Economics is in the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences but:

1) The content of the Economics major hasn't changed as result.
2) The major is available to people outside of B. Arts, naturally.
