With the extension 2 exams being too easy and the teacher being unnecessarily picky, silly mistakes are what's separating students. In my opinion MX2 is meant to be hard and the test is meant to be very challenging but my teacher will never change.
I tried to create a strategy to help me avoid silly mistakes and that is: don't be so optimistic when doing the test because everyone in the class is finding it easy, write explanations and add as much information as possible, revise with a blank mind and don't assume that the solution is correct, etc.
Any other tips?

Don't rush through the paper. Even if you finish 1 hour early, you cannot pick up that many mistakes (because you will inevitably skim and not read). Prevention is better than the cure.

When you say they are too easy do you mean that they are easy compared to HSC papers or overall?
