Everyone has gone nuts over studying at my school.

You should get cracking.

Push yourself that little bit. Just over a month of school and you'll have like 1-2 months of holidays.

I feel like I'm falling behind, even though I am genuinely working hard. (Or so I delude myself)
24 hours in a day is not enough. :(

I think I'm too afraid of regret to slack off.

My advice, in the upcoming holidays, try to catchup and work your ass off. Year 12 is NOT a time to slack off. Maybe after the trials then you can slack off a bit but not now...

when you slack off, put that time into finding a uni degree you want as 1st pref.

If you think you can make the cutoff without much work, then do that lol

I feel very much the same. My motivation comes from my peers. I see them working their butts off and I feel bad because I'm lazy and losing marks because of it even though I can clearly do so much better. Right now you need to focus on getting rid of distractions, find a quiet environment and fill it with your study notes/work or whatever it is you need to do for that day. Have regular breaks so you don't get bored or burnout. Food and drink are pretty important too, so can't work on an empty stomach. So have some during your breaks.

The hardest thing to do is keep a routine. If you can do this, then your set!

^ Hope this helps a little..

First term, don't worry so much; although absolutely obilerate your assignments. After the hols thats when you should be doing your 3 hours a day. In reality there is no point in busting your balls studying for you to forget it over the holidays. - And shut up to anyone who says study during holidays...you're sad :p jks jks

lol are you serious? - after trials, is when you should be smashing your study, because it leads up to when it all counts.

Yep, tables are definitely going to change in year 12, people are going to come out of nowhere with really high marks, while 'smart' people might dropping back
