I reckon you need to explain it further.
Hey, why don't you find a definition from Wikipedia? I can picture you sinking to that level.

I said I am NOT blaming students or technology.
I am just saying that extra 15 given to students
was very unfair for everyone who does same course
I know... and that's what I said too...

What do you think the Board of Studies will do about this issue?
nothing

james ruse is their baby. They like to show that public (albeit selective) schools can continually top the state

Exactly. And that is why this issue must also be taken to ACA and TT and other reputable media networks, so that something can be done.

ummm..... i see what you mean,
but isn't that just so unfair?
if they do nothing about it, then how are they gonna
take all complains etc?
But there is nothing they can do to make it fair.

Say, student A got 84/84 in the 2 hours and spent the extra 15 minutes checking over it (but obviously didnt get any extra marks), and student B got 75/84 in the 2 hours and spent the extra 15 minutes getting a few extra marks.

How do they distinguish between the students who would have got that mark rightfully in the 2 hours and those that earnt extra marks in the last 15 minutes?

I think thats why at the end of the article they said they would look into the marks, so people dont complain

By comparing their marks to their internal results, and to their results in Ext 2.

Still not a fair comparison. Hundreds of factors contribute to a students performance in a test, comparing the internal results and the ext 2 marks (assuming that everyone who did MX1 did MX2 (which obviously did not happen)) can't neccesarily give an accurate reflection of their perfomance in the 3u exam

Internal marks are a good judge.

I am not sure how they can give the fair mark
(by look into the mark) cos
this year's exam was hard
about 15 extra minutes
and hundred other things they consider when they
determine band and mark.
your paragraphing style reminds me of William Carlos Williams.

....you can't use raw internal marks to determine the ability of a student...

if this matter definitely considered in the scaling process and affect the cutoff mark for the bands, for students who go to other school, will this is negative or beneficial for them?

so much depends
upon a maths extension
paper
glazed with students'
screams
beside the transparent
BoS scaling system.
