well yeah thats what my perception was...
Unfortunately the HSC does not neccesarliy test how "smart" someone is. The HSC tests " if you can be bothered to try hard or not". This means people that arnt as bright can beat selective school ppl.

DAMN selective ppl...all students who were better than the average usually decided to dog their public non-selective schools in year 10 to 11 and go to selective. Hence my school (which used to have lotsa smart ppl), they all left..leaving a school with 10% hi marks and the rest like crap...
I got 97.2, cause I didnt want to go to selective
I got to castle hill hi
