Because I sure did.

#1. The 32 bit code for "FISH" was incorrect, as ASCII only uses 7-bit (well, standard ASCII anyways) and the question used 8, meaning all of the letters had an extra 128 value on them.

#2. The C and D nor gate. Anyone notice that it only had one input? They combined the paths of C and D before it entered the NOR gate.

Yeah I got #2. I'm like... wtf!!

But for #1... How did you attempt that question? How did you solve it?

Yeah dont think that they cared too much about the ascii, the NOR gate tho they just joined the lines before the gate, slack but whatever

ASCII can be 8-bit I believe, or I'm thinking of Unicode.

NOR gate is a valid concern though, I laughed at that :p

E: Yea, I was thinking of Unicode, nevermind :p

I noticed a mistake on page 12

from function Main:
ELSE CALL Calc_Circle (message)
and the subprogram it called was:
FUNCTION Subprogram Calc_Circ (message)

So the call didn't actually call it :O

And I wasn't even able to find the error that they asked for in 22 a) (ii) :(

Did anyone else get 0 as the output for every input for the logic gate?
Yep, assumed it was in there to make people check their answer and/or worry if they'd done something wrong. They've asked the same thing before, but as an evaluate question rather than just truth table.
Didn't bother checking my answer.

Yeah the outputs were all 0.

Also the error about the NOR gate with 1 instead of 2 inputs, the board will probably be bombarded with complaints tomorrow morning, meaning that the question will either be dropped, or if you did what i did and said in your answer that the diagram was wrong and wrote down the appropriate truth table you should still get full marks as long as the justification is correct.

Im pretty sure The BOS will have to drop both questions, to make it right for everyone.

Meaning Im pretty sure the maximum mark would now be 95, rather then 100.

Or they wont, Meaning the average will go up, and everyone (even the people who achieved poorly) will get 5 additional marks and etc.

Damn bitchez.

Edit: Doesnt bother me really, I'm looking at Band 6 (Y)

Don't forget the mistakes where we had to do the railroad diagrams. In the top it said "Conditional Exp", and later it was referred to as "Condition Exp". Nothing big, but still worth pointing out (assuming I remeber correctly lol).

I noticed the Logic gate question was weird as well, I couldn't get it, nor had we learnt anything about an OR gate having only one input.

And question about the FISH, I got it down to eight bits converting it to Hex, but I think I'm clearly wrong. Something like 3D3D4E32 was the answer I got, I forgot exactly but.

Hopefully BoS notices this and does something about it.
