The pre-learners course consists of standing quarter miles, braking test and the final thing you must do is complete a flying lap within 10% of Casey Stoner's record on the same track.
LOL, the scooter chick failed then.

Got the clutch boss back for my bike from the Machine shop today, need to put a helicoil in the hole. FZRs make awesome fighters, going to go down that route.

How much would I be looking at if i wanted to go down the Street Fighter alley?

yeah fairly sure
my friends've had to resit their ls when they expired
dont think p's are different
Its gay on Motorcycle L's, im giving my self 10 months, doing P test, if i fail i got 2 more months to get it right before i have to sit the L course again.

Could take a dremel to the fairings if you were committed to making it a streetfighter.
Think they're called mudguards or something but all I get is front huggers when I image search?
Either way it wouldn't look too bad if you didn't have the bottom piece. Have fun spraying it the same tone of purple if you do find one though.

This is the best guide I've found covering the very basics.

how to....streetfighter your bike - The Biker Forum

All sounds very easy.

You can get all the parts pretty cheap now if you just want to do something basic.

e.g.

HEADLIGHT FAIRING STREETFIGHTER ENDURO CROSS STUNT - eBay, Other Accessories, Motorcycle Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 16-Nov-09 13:16:56 AEDST)

We sell only high quality motorcycle spares - from pre-load adjusters and rego tubes to mirrors, bars and billet footpegs. Honda and Kawasaki specialists - UNIVERSAL ALLOY BAR RISERS

STREETFIGHTER BAR END MIRROR MIRRORS CARBON FIBRE LOOK - eBay, Other Accessories, Motorcycle Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 26-Oct-09 23:23:09 AEDST)

$300 is probably close to right, sky's the limit.

Probably won't go for motocross style bars purely because sourcing extended clutch, throttle and brake cables will be a cunt. Also not sure about instruments, chuck everything else, but still need a speedo for rego. Most guys go for custom digital speedos, but they start at $120+. Can get a bicycle speedo for $10, but most only work up to 100km/h and they won't work at night.

lol that's one of the best customs of all time. It's got the tail of an MV, late model GSXR swingarm etc. If you've got the skills to build a custom exhaust like that, fitting a belly pan is going to be the least of your worries

I wrote of my bike the other day, and while i'm waiting on my body to recover (rather, my arm) i was looking at the new bike i want to get, since i was planning to upgrade anyway. Now i just get insurance on top of that.
The bikes i was looking at:
- the kawazaki ninja 250 (top preference atm)
- YZF R125
- Yamaha YBR 250 (if i can find one)
- CBR 250
- another trail 250

whats the thought on those bikes?
