lol get over it, we both got hammered by chelsea in the league, and neither will challenge it next year playing like the way we did on saturday -

man utd - not scoring from 20+ shots and many more airswings (ruud will improve next season with less injury)

arsenal - getting completely steamrolled all over the shop bar goalie
Meh, that's why we'll buy new players next season. I'm quite happy about how the game went, it was a wake-up call that shows Wenger that he needs to improve the squad to be competitive next season, but at the same time we didn't lose and we made all the Manure fans feel like shit in the process.

Beautiful victory on Saturday.

As for getting over it :D. I just love bringing it up.

I actually want them to be cocky, because if they lose on Thursday the rest of us can go to town with them.

Don't hold back Pool fans ;). You know I won't if Milan wins on Thursday.

Coming from you - I find that disturbing especially considering you were one of the few people (other than Liverpool supporters) who believed we would make it this far. I would shut my mouth but when it comes down to it - however much I talk will have no effect on the team’s performance. The only thing it will do is give people like Constip8edSkunk and HeCtic more ammunition to shoot me down if we do lose.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Constip8edSkunk again.

If we do lose – I think I’ll stay away from this thread for a few days or weeks

Me too.

I could have sworn that I saw Reyes collect his medal.....or was I just dreaming.??
Yeah .. I’m not too sure either what Arsene “ I did not see that “ Wenger is on about coz Reyes sure did get his medal with the others. Martin Tyler and Andy Gary commented on it as well.

Besides there's plenty to look forward to real soon, with your first summer and new season under Glazer coming up and all :D
I don’t know if there is anything to look forward to at this point in time given the secrecy and what not surrounding the ‘sister-suer’ Glazer. There are suggestions that the only funds Fergie will be able to spend is whatever he recoups from sales. ( hopefully Kleberson; Carroll; and maybe Fortune). The other version is that he will grant Fergie 100m Euros to be used for the next 5 seasons. Supposedly he wants to bring in transfer target Essien to win some fans over, and attempt to rival Abramovich (G’luck with that); he’d also like to bring back Beckham, mostly due to his global marketing prowess, and due to the fact that he is one of the only recognised footballers in the US. Oh, there's also rumors that Glazer is contemplating a sister club for Man Utd in the US - MUSA. Plus, some Las Vegas businessmen are in serious talks to construct a casino right next to Old Trafford.

already there are huge romours echoing around europe as some big names enter possible negotiatons.....

-adriano has been linked to real madrid How about a defender, Perez? meh whatever

-michael owen wants out of real madrid and arsenal and liverpool are front runners Lost track of how many times he has changed his mind

-ajax star van der vaart is linked to a move to spanish giant barcelona and man united he has been linked to them for the last two seasons, although he might join Hamburg SV. Very bad move in my opinion, just take a look at D'Alessandro who joined Wolfsburg

-star fullback dede is sure to move to stamford bridge in the summer Dortmund would be OK with the deal given their financial situation, although I don't see the need for Chelsea, given that they have Bridge and Dede is already 28 and less capable defensively then Bridge.

-italian keeper cudichini is likley for a move to man united fingers crossed
As for the 70m price tag on Zlatan, it is undoubtedly ridiculous. Parma have also valued Gilardino at ~70m to help ease their finanacial woes. Also ridiculous.

Due to disappointing ticket sales, this Saturday's Party at the Bridge, at Stamford Bridge, has regrettably been cancelled.

Party at the Bridge was one of the many celebratory events for fans.

There will be a full refund for all those who have purchased tickets. Customers should refer to their point of purchase.

Chelsea Football Club would like to apologise for any inconvenience this cancellation may cause.

Hahaha. Fans!? What happened to Kenyon's "We've increased our fanbase by 300% in the last two seasons" ? .

Omg, only 14 hours or so till the final, Liverpool better get Reina next year, goalkeeper appears to be the only weak position in the squad now

14 hours to go till our attention is totally affixed to Istanbul. UCL Finals have had a bad habit of being a bit to dour of late, and with both managers being tactically-intense, unfortunately we might be in for a reserved approach from either side.

Milan are susceptible defensively as highlighted by both PSV; and then Palermo on the weekend. If it does go on to penalty-shootouts then Dida will have a significant say in the proceedings. In midfield, I reckon the selection of Seedorf is probably not such a bad prospect for the Merseysiders given his recent below par performances in both the UCL and domestically. Up front, Crespo does tend to go missing quite a lot.

Liverpool, I reckon are more solid at the moment and might employ a 4-5-1 system again. If Dudek and Traore can keep a cool head on their shoulders then they shouldn’t have any unnecessary problems. Garcia I assume will start off on the right-side and drift inside as the match wears on. With Garcia, Gerrard, Alonso, and Riise almost definite starters, either Kewell or Biscan will fill in the other spot and Baros might get the nod ahead of Cisse.

All in all, should be a great spectacle, if not a great match. And, hey, if L'pool dominate and don't win - well then you'll know how we Utd fans must have felt. :uhhuh:

Me? Scared? Never! :D

As for tomorrow's match - We've conceded 1 goal in the last 4 CL games in which we happened to have been playing the Premier League winners and the Serie A winners. Don't forget that Juve beat AC a few weeks ago. We beat Juve...
Milan on the other hand was up against PSV who managed to get 3 against them in one match.

COME ONN REDS!!

Stats mean crap in this. I could rattle off a bunch of stats about the pope dying and how it relates to the last time Liverpool won the Champions League, but it would mean crap. I'm just looking forward to a hard fought, intense game tomorrow.
