Soliloquy for english (1 Viewer)

Did anyone ever have to write their own soliloquy for a character in Macbeth for english? It's part of our assignment and I find it ridiculous so I was just wondering if only my school does it or other people on here had to?

Hahaha nope, I'm in Year 11 now but I remember in Year 10 we had to recite a soliliquy/monologue in Macbeth with characterisation and dramatisation and analyse it in a speech. In year 8, we had to create our own soliliquy for Romeo and Juliet though.

We had to do that when we did Romeo and Juliet. It was so much fun!

We got to perform it too, and mine was from the perspective of Juliet!

We have to create it (can't rewrite or anything) and then perform it with dramatic techniques by recording ourselves

In year 9 we got to modernise a scene from romeo and juliet in groups and then perform it, I found that fun and interesting but this just sucks
