ive googled it and still dont understand! different info everywhere!

To put it simply, eutrophication is the enrichment of nutrients in a waterway (mainly due to high levels of nitrates and phosphates) . Eutrophication can result in a rapid proliferation of algae and plant matter (algal blooms)
