I also have trouble finding related texts for this topic aswell. :mad:

But for this text "Welcome to my life", it might be a pain analysing as it looks a
bit to brief lol.

lol thanks for the backup guys =P I agree, even with tone, melody and lyrics, its not good enough.

And you DO have to write an essay on belonging in the HSC exam and trials using related texts to back it up. Well whatever, its my advice, if you believe you can make a good analysis of this song, thats your choice.

No. Not good. AT ALL.

It's too pedestrian for analysis. There is no way you can draw out anything of substance to use in an English essay. Even as a teeny little back up text. Even if you have a mega analysis of it, don't use it.

2 text types?
Choose a text and a visual text eg film:)
Analyse it how you have been taught to over the last few years its that easy.
Plus there are heaps of study guides out there for so many texts utilise what you can:)
By doing a song your just making things harder for yourself.
