Songs/Album as a related text? (1 Viewer)

I want to use a song or a few songs from an album to analyse and use as one of my related texts for a belonging speech-essay.

I was wondering how i'm supposed to analyse it in terms of a song, or do I have to analyse the whole album as a whole?

Can I take parts of the lyrics and interpret it as my own idea of belonging? and also what techniques can I find/use from lyrics? (i doubt there's any similes or any techniques like that :S).

Also how can I turn my essay into a speech since that's my assessment task?

Mate, song are a bad choice, you have to do all the musical stuff as well as lyrics and it has to be in depth. Much easier to choose another text if you want to relate it to belonging and do a good job.

Yeah, compositional components must also be analysed, in combination with lyrical components.
