Why couldn't this be Glasgow, then we could see Slint as well.

But still, these concerts are very cool.

Bought!

$66 in person - that extra four dollars or so went down my gullet at Manning.

Also, who are the Scientists anyway?

Got mine!

And the Scientists are amazing, that's almost as good as SY: original Australian grunge punk noise stuff (think, like, Cosmic Psychos). The EP they're doing is a great one.

the scientists are really good, at least from the few songs i've heard. they tend to pop up on rage guest programs, with effusive introductions by bands who chalk up their relative obscurity to how out-of-sync their variety of styles were with the current musical trends of their time.

i'll try and familiarise myself with 'blood red river', in an effort to make feb 18th extra-special.

Screw you guys, I'm a Daydream Nation man myself. Their newer stuff is hardly bad but pales completely to Daydream Nation.

And for that I am happy.

oh, i absolutely agree - that's why telling them to play their new stuff would make such a great heckle.

i do like their last few records, but more in the context of their career; their persistance is admirable. a bit like watching an old person sprint a 50m race.

I was joking too. I like their new stuff a lot but, for me, the top 5 is:

1. Sister
2. Confusion is Sex
3. Goo
4. Daydream Nation
5. EVOL

Btw I don't mean to sound like an asshole (whoops), I just mean there's no need to apologise as your opinion doesn't really matter on my enjoyment of an album.
