Protesters shuld be free to gather wherever they want
No they are not, they may not gather on any form of private property without consent, nor are they to gather in large groups on public property without approval.

Does the same apply to politicians
Only the ones you support.

and then you wake up from your sad-man fantasy and realise these are people.
stupid people

people without whom this country would be genuinely better without ..

Apart from stting off bombs, is there another reason why they shut down phone networks? I wonder...

Yeh they should get back in line or risk being hurt!
No they should learn that when I sign says "do not cross beyond this point," it will be legally enforced as such.

There is no line in society, everybody does their own thing, unfortunately what they do is stupid, annoying and occasionally illegal. Plus they're likely to be the same people who post their shitty socialist posters all over uni, thus any broken arms they incur in their fights with the tyrannical capitalist west is quite the benefit in my opinion.

They were protesting in the streets last time I looked. They have a voice. If the leaders don't want it they can go to an island and talk.
Except they're a stupid minority, most people either want or don't mind APEC being held in their city, its especially good for the local economy. If the hippies don't like it, let THEM go to island and protest, heck knows most people don't care or want to know about their stupid ill informed opinions, or preferably out of the country to a socialist paradise like Cuba ..

[qoute]Only in your (futile and stupid) opinion.[/quote]

If my opinion is stupid and futile why is it running the country while yours is getting drenched by rain while being stuck around a power pole?

True or false: anarchists and protesters in Melbourne at the g20 summit destroyed public property and police property. This is a crime. World leaders did not.
True. True or false: World leaders meet to discuss destroying other countries.

Erm how is closing down most of the Sydney CBD good for the economy?

Not only that but my building is in the fucking declared zone and even if there is a public holiday I'm still going to have to go to work. Great horny policeman can search me on my way to work (and yes that's how I and most of the people working in the CBD will see it).

I'm quite sure only police women will touch you.

Joy.

Still, it's a frustrating disruption.

Can't they hold the fucking thing in Canberra? Isn't that our capital?

Hey man, I can bitch about these things but while they're there I may as well use them...

Actually, I've got nothing against globalisation. Can you believe it?

But we don't have laws against that :D
Pity. Apparently that doesn't matter nowadays anyway, you know, with Hicks and such.

They 'say' it's for the long term benefits.

Still, it's a frustrating disruption.

They wanted that a while ago. Perhaps Sydney is more accessible than Canberra is. I'm sorry. Not much I can do if you hate it.

In a military sense or an economic sense? I don't know. Maybe both.

O.K. Can you justify this?

Who says that those protesters you see whenever there are APEC meetings are socialist? Or maybe they're just protesting against the Vietnamese president for being the most socialist.

I'm not the only person "hating" this. It's not a popular thing in my office at the moment particularly with September looking to be fairly busy.

It's going to cause a lot of disruption for something that could be much better managed.

Canberra would be more logical, it's a less congested area out in the sticks. Less hotels, less protestors. I mean for fucks sake, it's the nations capital right?
