Its hardly a personal statement many people can copy (unless you lie). Not many people have my life

yeah, i got it working (finally!)
hmmm i think i might apply for the village as well, just incase i don't get in (which is highly likely)
would it be better staying at a college or the village?
what's the village like?

Ive heard from people that the village is good depending on who you are. it is self catering which can get quite time consuming if you want something fresh and not maggi noodles like. The social life is not meant to be the same (not bad just different). You get more personal space (if you have a single room apartment) and you have your own bathroom.
I guess the advantage of staying at the college would be that food is made for you. You are probably forced to have a social life just being there really. The colleges are meant to be closer to the lectures and uni facilities too.
Disadvantages i guess would be less personal space and as waterfowl said the bathrooms arent as good (and you have to share too).
The uni vallage has a bar and several eateries and a general store bla bla bla.
I guess in the end it depends on who you are to whether youd be suited best to colllege or SUV. I personally like how the colleges encourage work and social life, but i also like the idea of being part of a team as my school was very much like that with sports (i loved that) etc. the idea that 21 meals per week is made for you is also enticing

im not sure. they refer to the interview as a "talk". they probably want ot meet you face-to-face. you'd probably have to ring them and ask or email.

Melbournian,
do you really enjoy Drews?
Are the rooms really small or are they quite spacious? Is it really noisy at college?
Is the food alright? Do you starve?
Is it feral sharing a bathroom with everyone?
Are there so many parties that you dont have time to get your work done?

I think id really enjoy living there. ive heard that living at college is like a big and fairly close sort of team. I'd probalby miss my family less that way i think. SUV i think would get a bit lonely + you have to cook your own food.
Was it hard moving away from melbourne and family?

sorry there are so many questions
Thanx

LOL!
i doubt they'd starve...

and you can share with up to 4 people in the SUV, can't you?
it doesn't have to be that lonely...
but i agree, i think living at a college would be so fun!

with tha question i just said i have a broad range of friends (christian, muslim, gay asian, and european) and that peoples backgrounds dont determine who they are, only their part of their beliefs ie a muslim person might be a really great person but they just have a different belief system etc but i get along with them well (because there is more to them then their religion) and respect their beliefs as they do mine. im christian coz i was brought up with it. hes muslim coz he was brought up that way

that sort of thing. people could easily make that up but.

As for girls, well, if Porges has his way everyone would be blond, goodlooking etc. Although, there are still a lot of atheltic chicks.
i'd say that's go more to do with the students' club and their input into choosing new people, than porges.
