Can you get a 99.95 atar with standard english?

Ofcourse its possible! at high scores (>92) standard english actually scales better than advanced english
I put My subjects in (4u maths, 3u maths, physics, chemistry and advanced english) into matrix's atar calculator
Then I set the HSC mark for the not english subjects to 95, then I set advanced english to 95
That gave me an atar of 99.85
I changed it to eng standard, it gave me an atar of 99.9
I changed the english mark to 92, my atar was calculated to be 99.80 for both standard and advanced
But yeah anything lower than 92 advanced would have been better (e.g. 85 gave me 99.4 atar for advanced, 99.25 for standard)
And standard english is quite hard to get a band score
But its certainly possible, and if you end up smashing standard english, you'll actually do better than an same scored advanced student in your english contribution to ATAR

Theoretically it is possible, but it would be extremely difficult and you would likely need all your other subject units to carry your Standard English mark - Note only ~50 candidates actually get B6 each year. Keep in mind that generally, people who get 99.95 are people who do Advanced English.
