i'm doing the man with five children too. My whole class is doing a simpsons episode for our related text. It's called 'Springfield Up' from Season 18 and it's based around the 7Up series. Its really good! there's heaps about the power of editing and falsified footage to create a constructed reality.

the text we are using for this module is 'The Dish', its pretty boring but its really good in connecting with the global village.

my english teacher marked last years hsc papers on the global village - the castle and told us that whoever chose that related text usually received very high marks.

The Castle was a studied text in the original Retreat From The Global module in the EX1 course. Because it has alright been given by the BOS, it is not recommended by them that you use it.
