im really worried at the moment that my standard english would pull down on ATAR mark..because therotically ppl say its hard to get good marks for standard english. im currently ranked 1st in the grade... however im scared i cant maintain my rank... for the yearly report.

and apparently all my subjects are VERY VERY VERY LOW SCALING ..

legal studies
business studies
japanese continuers
mathematics 2units
hospitality

do you think by chance.. i would still be able to achieve an ATAR of approx. 94 and above ????

any comments or recommendations would be accepted..

there not that bad, you could get 94 if you do fairly well in them.

From what most people say English Standard and English Advance scale the same however it is very difficult to obtain a Band 6 in Eng Std so that puts your chances down, but its possible as for your subjects indeed they are "low scaling" to some extent, if you get a Band6 in all your subjects you can hit a UAI* of 95+ no problems what so ever. There is hope just work hard

Just aim for the highest rank possible and do as well as you can in externals and you'll have more than just a chance

it would help in scaling but the problem is a Language is very difficult to learn and 2ndly its VERY TIME consuming to learn another language but if you think you can get a band 6 or high band 5 in japanese and jap ex then my all means go for it but in reality just perform well in your subjects and u wont have to worry

eh, it's one of the better scaling of the humanities. better than business studies and ancient history. not quite as good as modern history, but nearly.
