youtube tells me it plays with some pretty new and high-tech physics engines or something to that nature.

actually uses two physics engines. massive emphasis on picking shit up and flinging it at the enemy.

got the demo the other day, it's fun. fighting with lightsabers, not so much. will probably rent it. ohh and either the 360 or the ps3 versions are the ones to get, for the physics.

I can't wait for it, i've always been a star wars fan and lucasarts haven't released a really great game for a while.


Yeah it uses the Euphoria and DMM engines. Like he^ said, those engines will emphasise the force powers - thus the force unleashed. Lightsabers aren't the focus, so it doesn't surprise me you thought the combat was disappointing. What was bad about it?

comparing to ninja gaiden and devil may cry (which i regard as the pinnacle of the action genre) the lightsabering was slow, clunky and doesn't give you much variety. mapping blocking and dashing to different buttons makes it really hard to escape whilst blocking without taking a hit or two.

that said it seems like an alright game and i'm definitely going to check it out

almost done with it. been breezing thru it on the hard difficulty level (the hardest is locked) and it keeps freezing when i get up to the rail gun bit.

fun game, but very very broken 6/10

Awesome game, the historic missions are pretty cool and Darth Vader in 'A New Hope' was not kidding when he said that the force was more powerful than the Star itself, cause they made the force mind blowing.

You know something, if force sensitives(Jedi, sith etc) can use the force to bring down huge ships such as Star Destroyers, why couldn't they have stuff like that happening in the movies or anywhere else?

BTW, any ideas for what the sequel could be like? cause Maris Brood and Rahm Kota are still alive

It's a pretty crap game, glad i played it for the story though.
