there's a lot of sessions.
there was one held back in june i think
then there was a late session. the last session with results you could use for this year's main round offers was dec 6.

no, it relies a lot on reasoning ability and really basic maths skills.

yay! 181/200, 99.8th percentile. damn my friend beat me, she got 99.9, i was like "geez, you couldnt just let me have the stat test could you?" (She beat me in everything else)

STAT - Special Tertiary Admissions Test

The Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) tests a range of cognitive skills and abilities considered important for coping with the demands of tertiary study. It is mainly used by universities to assist with the selection of applicants who do not have a current Year 12 qualification. STAT is a two-hour multiple-choice test, and there is also a one-hour Written English test used by some institutions.

there's a june session, then there are later sessions which are outlined in the UAC book which you'll receive next year

i remember you saying you go to cheltenham, so you'd probably want to sit for STAT at the june sitting at Sydney girls

but dw, you dont have to worry about it for a while

hey guys, i got 144/200 for my stat results, how do i work out my percentile?? is it like this...

144x100/200 = 72%

Or is there a different way??

no, wat ur talking about is the percentage. The percentile is how u performed in relation to other test-takers. ie, if u got a percentile of 90, that means u did equal to or better than 90% of all other candidates, as in, 90% of candidates got a score equal to or lower than yourself. Basically, a percentile of 90, places you in the top 10% of all candidates. And i think (i dunno, i haven't got my results yet), but i think that the percentile should be given to you with your results. I can't see how you would be able to calculate that yourself. btw, this is a thread from 2003.

shit i didnt realise this was from 2003.. i searched stat test percentage in yahoo and got this page..lol
