State Drama Festival/ State Drama Ensemble (1 Viewer)

Hey Guys,

Just wondering if anyone was involved in State Drama Festival 2004, or is/was in the State Drama Ensemble?

I was involved in the State Drama Festival last year, We did a peice called "Wolf at the Door", based on Theatre of Cruelty. The only reason I'm mentioning this is I'm looking for anyones thoughts/ideas on some of the peices that were presented at the festival.....

Was yours the Columbine High one? I think I remember it ...
I have never been in the Festival but went and watched last year at night.
It was so awesome!
I liked the Macbeth one, but the one about Helen of Troy was sooo cool!!!! I wish I could do karate like that!

yea i was in it last year from epping boys we did shakespeare interpretation called double double

We were from Orange High, it was a peice about adolecent aleination and stuff. We had 2 groups of people- bright colours and black, and it was full of crazy random stuff- I got to do the can can.

I liked the one from the state drama ensemble, it was really deep lol.

The "double double" one tripped me out- it was from Macbeth wasn't it?

I'm from penrith and we did the godnight sweetheart, with the barbershop quartet!
it was much fun

Yeah it was, we did it for this local festival of "teens" and then paul Viles saw it and was like, do come to state. So we said yes.

Lol that was like us.

We performed at Western Districts Drama Festival and the dude said- You're going to state. And we all jumped up and down and screamed. V. exciting (but all the others at WDDF sucked... to tell the absolute truth. )

They were all created by the students teachers, and not the students themselves, which I didn't like. I liked SDF 'cos all the peices were self devised... fun times.
