I know, I even posted this 2 mins earlier!

lol, oh well.

All of uni knows. I can't believe how quickly it spread. Word of mouth pretty much faster than most of the media--who'd have thought?

It's a huge shock....but im actually suprised he lasted this long too, even though he was an expert he lead a rather extravagant lifestyle..and even though he has survived hundreds of minor slip ups he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time...that stingray might not have been in that particular spot and stung him if he had spent 10 extra minutes on something else before hand. It's so surreal.

His poor family though...he's got 2 little kids :(

especially with a very young family. He did the docu for his 7 year old daughter, Bindi, too.

It would be contrary to the wishes of Mr. Irwin to have the stingray exterminated - does anyone know what is to happen of it?

We shall all learn from his death: Never play with stingrays.

Even more so, we shall learn from his life: Crocs aren't all that bad.

I barely knew Steve Irwin (didnt even know his name till now but as 'crocodile hunter') but i feel extremely sad about his passing because he was a ambitious environmentalist and a true aussie icon. So sad.

If so sad to see an Aussie icon die so early when we all never thought this would come so soon. But yeah at least it occurred when he was doing what he loved the most. I really sympathise with his poor family

RIP Mate.

I couldn't believe it either when my friend told me. It's really sad. I feel really sorry for his wife and kids. He seemed like a pretty cool guy too. It's a real shame he died so young. An Aussie legend! R.I.P. Steve Irwin

i think steve irwin's death is the first celebrity death that has affected me. usually celebrity deaths don't affect me at all. like, i'd forget about it the next second.

anyway.

i'm so sad. i cried.

such a great loss.
