I agree, year 11 is quite overrated. In almost no way does it count to your HSC (only maaaaaybe it cooooooooould affect what class you get into), and you're only doing subjects you chose to be doing... except probably English. But then with that, everyone is in the same boat, so stop complaining.

This is what the first week at school will look like at the school I teach at iirc

Monday 26/1 - Public Holiday
Tues 27/1 - Pupil Free Day
Wed 28/1 - Strike
Thurs 29/1 - Strike
Fri 30/1 - Year 7,11 back
Mon 2/2 - EVeryone else returns

There is a rally in Belmore Park on the Wednesday, but there will be media coverage of the decision to strike or not in the week or so preceding the return to school

Seeing as tho i am not teaching year 11 this year.. I pretty much get an extra week off
