Structure of 2009 HSC English exam (1 Viewer)

Ok, im just wondering if someone could confirm or make adjustments to what i've been explained is the set out of the English HSC exam.

Paper 1 - 10%
- Reading task
- Creative writing task
- Area of study response (belonging)

Paper 2 - 5% per module
- Module A response, Experience through language
- Module B response, Close study of text
- Module C response, into the world

So yeah, if someone could tell me that this is basically what the exam is based like or if theres something different to it, i'd greatly appreciate it

yes it's basically the same structure as the trials.

Is this to do with the weightings of each paper - I was under the impression that paper 2 had a greater weighting?

You're correct.

Paper 1 is worth 10%
Paper 2 is worth 5% (each module) x 3 = 15%

Therefore paper 1 is worth (10x2) = 20%, and paper 2 is worth (15x2) = 30%
Paper 1 + paper 2 = 50%, and the other 50% is from your internals.

Sorry if this sounds like a maths solution, but exam coming up, and I have to stay in that form. XD

your entire mark is made up of 100%
50% is from your schools internal exams and 50% is mad up of your hsc exam
pretty much paper 1 is worth 20% of your whole hsc mark
paper 2 is made up of 30% of your entire hsc mark
dont know why they said it was worth 10% and 15%
anyways good luck aye.
remember to have an idea on what your creative writing piece is going to be about
also the belonging essay, i think its your 1 key text and one other orm, but have 2 orm's up your sleeve just in case XD thats 3 language devices per orm
btw orm = other related material, just anothet text

(reguarding the whole addig up of my final mark that will appear on my hsc) lol then im stuffed.. i totally blanked out in the trials...(i have anxiety disorder. meaning i physically couldnt handle it.. cause i just bout fainted u could say)
yesterday was ok but its 2 morrow im worried about cause it was the paper i didnt even do half of it in the trials... i hope i do ok:S
