I'm currently in yr.10 but am accelerated in physics so doing prelim. I’ve struggled through the first 2 assessments with an average mark of around 75 but I’m still just about average in the year. I really don't want to drop it and redo it so I’m wondering (to you yr.12s who are doing physics) is the yr12 course very dependent on the yr11 course? Do u need to know all of the yr11 knowledge like in math’s (I’m also accelerated in 2u and 3u)?? Most importantly what should I do? And pls don't say re-do the course or drop it. I need to keep it? Should I just intensively study the yr.11 and catch up before yr.12? Or just not worry about it and focus on yr12 physics which is coming up term 4?

The HSC course is quite different from the prelim course so don't worry too much about it. There is hardly any yr11 content in the HSC and if there is anything from the yr11 course your teacher will mostly likely go over it again.

You really don't need much of the Year 11 course to do HSC Physics. Just keep going.

It's good to have the basics of electricity and moving about and perhaps knowledge of waves. But that should be more than sufficient.
