Hey guys.
So I am trying to set up my own email client to be able to successfully run my USYD email, without having to deal with their web-based application.
For the most part, I have got it working.
I can receive emails to my client no problem:
pop3 = outlook.com port = 995
Sending emails is another thing. And a strange one.
This is my current setting:
smtp = smtp.usyd.com.au port = 25
Using that, I can send emails to almost any email address... but I cannot send to any other student.
More specifically, I cannot send to anyone with a *@uni.sydney.edu.au email address. (relay access denied)
I can send to tutors and lecturers no problem, but they have @sydney.edu.au.
Also, I have tried using other smtp settings, but when I change them to a different server, the account will not accept my unikey/password.
Does anyone understand what exactly the problem is?
Cheers.
