Library works perfectly for me in comparison to home.
hahaha same... except i don't invite any of my classmates with me.. tried it once and never attempting it again lol. they're not the type to shut up, sit down and study.... they stay in there for 30 mins and talk and then leave.... pfffttt h8 when that happens.

How much hours a day are you planning to dedicate towards each subject in your Hsc?
this was posted up in an early forum:

i was suggested 15mins per unit per night.
so, physics is a 2 unit subject, do at least 1/2hr study a night.
ext 1 maths is a 3 unit subject, do at least 3/4hr study a night..

when you add them all together, you'll end up with approx 3hrs of study a night, which is achievable and wont 'burn you out'
but it is different for everyone i spend from 4.5-6 hours a week on a subject i can email you my timetable if you like for reference but it MOST LIKELY not suit your needs but so you can just get the jist of it.

Re: study hours

2-3 hours a day.

1 hour for maths and 2 hours for other subjects probably or

30 minutes for maths and 1 hour and 30 minutes for other subjects.

Re: study hours

I suggest you study 2 hours a day as Namu is planning on doing, and spreading your time across your subjects evenly. You don't necessarily need to study each of your subjects every day. Maybe you could study 2 subjects/day for 1 hour each.

Re: study hours

I will try 2 hours a day starting next year & cranked up to 3 hours a day durign exam periods. So I'll try getting the hang of 1 hour a day starting next term.

I said that at the beginning of the year but I only ever crammed when necessary. I wish I could cure my laziness :/

It's two very different things - planning and executing.

which do you think is a more effective way of studying for exams relying upon your summaries or textbooks?
Writing notes by hand - not computer. It's actually really effective and has the added bonus of making notes that you can bring to practice on the day of the exam.

I prefer computer as they have the advantage of
1. Being easy to edit
2. Being clear and well presented (I've got bad handwriting)
3. You can print it out if u need it
4. You'll never lose it
5. You can share them easily with friends.

but that being said.
Notes on computer seem to take longer to write up.
And if ur computer crashes ur kinda fucked.
