I sympathise for all you have a bulk of exams over 1-2 weeks. I've only got the two, but it's stressing to be able to get the ranks + marks.

Good luck to all those who are going to be starting their exams soon.

Consistent study is the way to go.

When it comes near the actual exams, do whatever past questions you can get your hands on.

i'm aiming for 6hrs (3x2hrs) for most days during the school holidays --> pretty unrealistic for me.

stuff to do:
- finish the trig chapter in 2unit, revise previous topics and go ahead of class
- work on a.o.s, revise King Richard III, deconstruct the prescribed speeches
- work on history extension project
- continue with marketing for business studies
- finish off nazi foreign policy & start albert speer
- start the shelter topic in legal studies

Study tips for these holidays - What should I be doing?

Hey guys,

In terms of studying for next term, what should I be doing i.e. how many hours a day of how many subjects? I didn't do too well in the half yearlies so I really need to get a move on.

Thanks.

Back to the topic:
Do a study timetable. Also if home is too distracting, try studying at a library.

I reckon sleep catchup is very high on the priority list.

Then math + english. Others I'm confident with.

Re: Study tips for these holidays - What should I be doing?

Hi students of the 2009 HSC.

I did the HSC last year and in my opinion, these 2 week holidays are pretty useful in terms of catching up on missed work, working on assignments etc.

Firstly, take some time off to enjoy the holidays and have fun. I found last year in the HSC that it's good to feel refreshed and motivated before starting some work.

Once you feel like studying, take it easy, maybe doing like 1 hour studying per each subject, with breaks in between. Try going through the stuff that you missed out on, this will make the workload for next term much easier.

Also I should mention that, if you have any assessments due after the holidays or have assessments due in the first few weeks of next term, these holidays are good to start working on it.

Remember that assessments contribute to your Final HSC mark, so if you manage to pull off pretty good marks on these assessments, this can improve your rankings a lot and can help boost up your final HSC marks.

Good Luck and Have Fun Too , I know I will :)

Happy Easter.

Cheers.
