Apparently it's best to listen to instrumental music, because vocals are distracting and prevent you from remembering your work.

- Franz Ferdinand, since some of those lyrics are really REALLY good as stimulus for imaginative journeys, such as their newly released Lucid Dreams
- Do It Better by Correcto
- 4 Minutes by JT and Madonna
- The Final Countdown by Europe

They get you kicking and studying quite nicely

MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS!

Best stuff ever.

For stuff like remembering formulas and quotes,

STAR WARS.

LORD OF THE RINGS.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN.

And English,

Enigma.

Best stuff for essays, psyches the shit outta ya.

I don't listen to music when I study. At all. Its too distracting.

But I've made it a rule during the HSC to not listen to Electric Six. I don't know if anybody else is the same, but I somehow manage to get 'Dance Commander' stuck in my head without even listening to it. It completely distracts me from everything else.

- Rise Against
- The Butterfly Effect
- Breaking Benjamin
- The Offspring

Forgot to mention Debussy and Beethoven. It really relaxes me and gets me contemplating things I never would have originally thought of.

Followed closely by Death Cab For Cutie.

When studying English, I listen to my RORTs that are songs on repeat. It's annoying, but they get stuck in my head, so I guess that's good
