Dance music whike studying for me. It calms me down when i'm doing English or Economics.
Really? I thought you'd want to get up and do an energetic dance to the music!?

sometimes lyrics do help if they're particularly encouraging.

eg:

bionic/ask for answers/drag - placebo
lycanthropy/A&E/bluebells - Patrick Wolf
don't speak [i came to make a bang] - eagles of death metal
run rabbit run - eminem
liontamer - faithless
time is running out - muse
pace is the trick - interpol

Yeah, listening to music while studying, kills the boredem out of studying. I usually listen to Old school RnB and smooth/concious hip hop. It helps me focus more.

I stopped listening to music whilst studying a few months ago, I feel like it's done a lot of good for my concentration and such.

Daft Punk and Cascada tracks remind me of the days right before sitting for the SC.
Not exactly memories that I'm "fond" of...

I agree on the Dance music front though. It does make you feel more energized than say, listening to classical.

I usually only listen to music while doing Maths work. Any other subjects, and I get distracted too easily.

Metal's usually on my mp3 player during Maths homework. =]

i usually listen to my metal music while doing anything for visual arts, it just makes it 10x more fun then it already is and it just feels awesome. however, listening to pure metal for 4 hours straight on your mp3 does hurt xD.

True. But it makes homework that little bit more exciting. =]
