Actually, i'm pretty sure Stuvac starts officially when term 4 starts. So, while all the other years have begun school, we're having our 'study vacation' instead of having school.

So, no. It's currently not stuvac. It's just plain old holidays...

And, I love this definition of stuvac: "The term used to define the period every Australian Year 12 student goes through in which they pretend to study before final exams but in reality waste away their last weeks on MSN Messenger and watching TV."

It wouldn't really matter if this time period was called STUVAC or not...there is no escaping the fact you have 50% of your hsc left for many of our subjects and you need to study. :p *Says he only because he has been through it*

In answer to your question not sure on the offical word but from graduation until you HSC, to me is STUVAC - be it that there might not be much studying going on.

You & I both :D

But does that mean stuvac is on for the duration of our exams or only on the days we have exams?

I'm pretty sure that Stuvac ends once our first exams begin.

so typically how long is stuvac?
That would depend when you start counting it as STUVAC. If from graduation then you usually finish a few days early + these holidays + most of the first week back. It finishes when your HSC exams start. From then on your in a major exam period, well your final school exams period.

I don't see why it really matters though.
