Hey everyone

I am in my final year of study of a B Comm Accounting and B Applied Finance degree and need to find some easy 200 level and about filler subjects.

Below are the subjects that i am thinking about (not all of them of course) and was wondering if i could have ppl's feedback on how hard they are (as i am looking for some easy subjects for my final year)

ACCG224 Intermediate financial accounting
ACCG260 Accounting and reporting for the environment
ACCG330 Strategic management accounting
ACCG350 Financial statement analysis
BBA214 Applied macroeconomics
BBA315 Business forcasting
BUSL204 Business ethics an risk management
ECON210 Public economics
ECON232 Econemtric principles
or any other easy econs over 200 lvl other then 335 and 350 (as i have done them)
or any physcology unit that is 200 lvl and doesnt require any PSY prereqs!

Also, BUS304 'International Study Tour' looks like fun, from the description its seems like you visit 2 countries for 2 weeks...would be pretty cool if the expenses go on HECS!

The help is much appreciated

I hear accg224 is the link between 1a1b and accg310. Spoke to the academic advisor on it and she reckons therell be basic consolidations. So she reckons having 310 under your belt would put you ahead of the rest. Also mentioned how the theory was based mostly on 323 (also mentioned by her), so having done both 310 and 323 would put you in steady state towards D imo.

I would avoid accounting courses at all costs if you are seeking 'easy' courses. These look more humanity based and might be easier:

BBA315 Business forcasting
BUSL204 Business ethics an risk management

I haven't done business forecasting but if it's about business trends, it should be hell fun. I like that stuff :)

I have done, ECON359 environmental economics and ECON335 econ of financial institutions as my final year electives.

I ahve also done ECON210 public economics and ECON235 development economics.

Do a forum search, I think I provided plenty of advice on those units

ECON356 Evolution of Economic Ideas (used to be called History of Economic Thought) is taught by Wylie Bradford. He's a good lecturer, and I've heard the subject is really interesting if you like history and that type of stuff. Don't know much on the difficulty or assessment though.

BBA315 is not that easy... but maybe if you are doing accounting you are used to numbers/trends etc. Much harder than STAT170. Mind you I didn't do maths for the HSC so that might not have helped me!

I really doubt that the content would be the same cuz only around 50 students taking ACCG223 per sem before and now it would be nearly 1000??? They may change the content heaps.

I'm very concerned about ACCG224 2.
