Hi guys.
I'm in year 10 and i'm wondering if there are any requirements to do extension 1 maths (3 unit) in year 11. Can someone please help me?

probably try to achieve 80+ percent in every exam for year 10. And make sure you enjoy maths lol.

Depends what school you go to, some just let you in straight away but they put everyone on probation ie. you must have 13 units so if you can't handle 3U you can simply drop down to 12. While other schools usually look at your performance in class 70+ should be fine.

I go to Hurlstone Agricultural High School, and its ranking is within the top 30 in NSW for average ATAR. Would there be a higher requirement.

Because of this, schools cannot prevent you from doing a course, regardless of what they say (assuming it runs, which at a top 30 school it will).

Actually my previous school held an exam where only students with a score of over 80 could take on the course.
