Thats two interviews already Hardenne. You must have placed some impressive academic achievements and extra curricular activities on the applicaiton forms.

lol thanks, though not as impressive as Mr. hYperTrOphY.

Still not sure if I'll be going into law anyway, so I've got to do alot of thinking before these interviews. Goodluck to you as well.

I think it's going to be hard for me to get an interview for a top tier.

At uni it's the same bunch of students getting interviews for everything so I think my best chance is with the mid tiers because heaps of the top students only applied to top tiers and it leaves the door open for the rest of us.

Woah reading this thread makes me really nervous about doing law next yr (provided i get in) and whether I'd actually get a job with a top tier firm when I graduate because the competition really heats up every year @_@

And yes I'm just a HSCer hope you dont me chiming in but I got a cadetship with Big4 accounting firm and am deciding between that and comm/law. I'm wondering if you dont get a summer clerkship does that mean you're really unlikely to work for a top tier firm once you graduate? Because I dont know if I should do law and risk not getting a decent job afterward or just stick with the safer option which is the cadtship.

Sorry for going on a tangent here but would love to hear your opinions!

well if u wanna do law, i tihnk u shdu do law. And if u study com/law u can always pursue a career in commerce if it doesnt work out for u with law. But yeah, i think thats a whole other topic and shudnt be discussed here, amongst all the shell-shocked 4th yrs awaiting responses from law firms.

It's only a partial indicator, there are people who will get a clerkship and and if everything goes well they will also get a graduate job there. For those who didn't get a summer clerkship, they can apply for a graduate job the following year.

Great day for me,

Rejected from Corrs, Clutz & Mallesons

Ofcourse considering I applied for them 10pm, 11:30pm and 11:54pm respectively...I ain't surprised.

Well a lil disappointed for Corrs.

Hardenne, please cherish your Deutsche Bank internship and withdraw from Deacons...PLEEEZE, I know where you live you blouse wearing poodle-walker.
