i just got a rejection call from Mallesons. I was shortlisted, but then informed over the phone I'm not getting an interview

No news of AGD...weird they called for Mallesons, I just got an email... I really hope for some news today, particularly good news.

I hope so, I'd like some warning so I can prepare if I happen to get any interviews, but I still have to hear back from a lot of places...hmmm

I just a reply from PwC to do the online test. Any hints on the test anyone? Mel I remember you said the numerical questions were a b**tch.

Its timed so make sure there are no distractions, have a calculator ready...good luck!

Thx Mel. Are the other questions hard, I mean apart from the numerical questions? It's all multiple choice right?

nah the logical ones are the standard type...my main issue with the maths was I havent used that part of my brain since year 11

I just got a letter from Holding Redlich saying:
*They will take up to 5 clerks
*If you get an interview you will be contacted by 28 Aug
*If you don't hear from them by 28 Aug you are unsuccessful

Lol it was dated 4 Aug but I got it today

*If you get an interview you will be contacted by 28 Aug
*If you don't hear from them by 28 Aug you are unsuccessful

i got that today too....gawd im not sure if i even want to work for a firm that uses snail mail for a notification of an impeding consideration for a possible interview...imagine how high their overheads would be

This whole process has been more nerve-wrecking than I thought it would be. I wish entry into the law profession is structured more like the medical profession. Like my gf who does a speech pathology degree. In their penultimate year they get placed into private clinics where they do work experience and at the end of their degree 90% of people get employed. That would be SOOOOOOOOO much easier.

So strange they sent it in the mail
i think it would have been so much easier for them to just email that!

Well I just called them and yeah apparently they are still going through the applications.

And the woman seemed genuinely surprised that other firms have already given out interview invites. So yeah..SMALL SMALL firm
