See I would just buy a PS3 as a blu ray player. Apparently they can also do all sorts of cool things as a media centre or on a network.

Actually we might do that, seeing as the bf's old chipped xbox is on its last legs.

Um. I'm white. Australian parents. Australian grandparents bar one who was British and I assume that if you go back a bit further that my great, great grandparents were probably from the British Isles. :angel:

roflmao@koko. Today I discovered how much paperwork I need to submit for prereg year :mad1: also deleting all this stuff from my computer now the degree's over. I've already deleted about 2GB worth of stuff, yay.

decided no point on buying blu-ray considering my tv in my room is only 1080i/720p.

no. a 1080p panel is best utilised for blu-ray.

My home theatre system already upscales dvds to 1080p and displays them on my tv through a hdmi connection which then downscales the image and interlaces it into a 1080i signal... So while there would be a slight difference in doing blu-ray, there wouldn't be much appreciation unless it could be watched natively in 1080p
