Maglev trains in Japan use superconductors. Not sure exactly if they use the Meissner effect to levitate or really strong magnetic fields produced by superconducting wires wrapped in a coil (superconducting electromagnets). Maybe u could do some research on the topic. I have the jacaranda textbook and it doesn't have much info on maglev trains.

The Meissner effect is the effect of levitation by a superconductor and the Maglev train is dependent on it.

no maglev trains use superconductors to produce large magnetic fields which levitate it to about 10mm above the tracks.

Maglev train is the frist that comes to mind. There are two types: EMS and EDS
EMS (electromagnetic suspension system) uses conventional electromagnets to provide the levitation. this is used in Germany.
EDS (electrodynamic suspension) uses superconducting magnets. The Meissner effect is used to levitate the train about 10mm. The Japanese maglev is an EDS.
