surfing is good, it gives you a really basic knowledge of the topics.

my chemistry teacher seems to hold a grudge from all text books.... whenever i ask which ones do u recommend ... if he ever says sumthing efficienthe has to conclude with " just follow my notes"

I don't think you can adequately cover the syllabus with any one book or set of notes.
