Seriously. id like to know what are the chances of me getting into this school for yr 11 in 2010? i have an excellent academic history and have got a number of awards and certificates for acadmeic excellence.Btw i also got rejected this year by them and im in yr 9 right now

from what i hear it's more likely you'd sccepted to start year 11 than to start year 9
because school's generally open up extra spaces for that very reason.

I guess it also depends on what school you're going to.. I mean A's at one school may be eaiser to achieve where the level of academic abilities isn't as high. Do you have any other co-curricular activities?

Maybe you heard wrong?.. Or maybe they just selected 20 to sit the test?

Anyways, at the OP, Your school is pretty low ranked, but I don't think that should deter you. Keep in mind that there is a big jump moving from your current school to a selective school which ranks so much higher then yours. So yea, you will have to work very hard.

Haha - you should.

But Sydney Tech is a great school. They do well in pretty much everything. And as for Tech not doing that well - I guess the same thing could be said about our school (or maybe in particular, my grade). I know that the Yr 12s of this year have some real dumbasses, our grade probably does, but less, albeit we were the worst grade in terms of SC results in SC history for our school, because none of us really gave a fuck. But yeah....good luck - and remember, no matter what school you go to, you still have a chance of getting the UAI you're after. And similarly, just going to James Ruse won't guarantee the UAI you're after either.
