Sydney University abandons HSC prerequisites in diversity push
The university says the move will allow it to attract a greater range of students. It will offer bridging courses to catch pupils up.

Sydney uni are removing advanced maths prerequisites
But more bums on seats just leads to more failing students.
Also, it sends the wrong message, eg., it doesn’t matter if you did advanced maths - but then they find out the hard way that actually it did matter and end up failing.
