I will undertake the exam next year to enter Hurlstone Agricultural High School...
I'm panicking and there's still another 7 months to go.
My friend did the test... 4 times... and failed 4 times.

Can someone give me some pointers? What to study... my report and everything?
HOW HARD THE TEST IS?

Thanks guys... :)

I sat test and got in for yr 11 this year.
Tips:
There is a VERY short maths section, IN WHICH you should know ur upper end maths of ur year level. MAKE SURE YOU STUDY ADVANCED MATHS FOR UR GRADE

Science section is rather simple deductive stuff, as well as explaining your thought process for an experiment.

English section is comprehension as well as an ESSAY, our yr 11 essay was on "What do you think the effects on australian agriculture would be in the event of a national plague of rats?" (Or mice, I cant remember lol) so THINK about various agricultural current affairs obviously, make sure you're up to date.

Errm its actually a rather simple test, maths section especially is quite easy to score full marks (Assuming you're a mathsy person), though dont stumble on trick science q's and write a cogent essay.

(Cogent means "Intellectually convincing" btw)

You should be good. All the best :)

Are there any selective schools that accept applicants for year 12? Or is year 11 the last one.

There is no shame in failing :) If you can shove a really high ATAR in someone's face at the end of the day, that's all that matters, really.

People failed at my school - 5 times. And you know what, I'm happy that failed so they can sorta push our marks up. If you fail, it doesn't mean you're stupid.
