Oh? I work forty hours a week in warehousing, 5am starts, ten minute paid break at 8:30, half an hour unpaid paid at 11:30 while studying full time. I also do eight hours of volunteer work with the YCW each week. Am taking arabic lessons on the side. Obviously it's not quite as much as my parents are doing but I'll get there. What, pray tell, would you like me to do on top and I'll see if I can accommodate your high standards oh poor, hard working Tully?

We have to work with 30 kids at once, no we can't take the time to have an argument specifically with you because that just derails the whole class and gives you what you want (wasting time)

no arguments is pretty much 1st rule if you want to be a semi-decent teacher

But there's a lot of other hugely important jobs that you could argue deserve more too, where is the extra money gunna come from?

For some reason a lot of people are under the baseless impression that sending their kid to a private school and paying several thousand a year is somehow going to give them a better education and access to better teachers than a public school, certainly in some instances this would be the case but in plenty of others it's really no different at all, there's also shit like motivation of the student to consider as well.
It's all well and good to say shit teachers dont deserve the pay/job but the fact remains they're still teaching and they're still teaching poorly.
