cos(-2pi/3) is a negative. His solutions show a positive.

this is because -2pi/3 is in the 3rd quadrant where sin and cos are both negative

I got up to Q8(b) yesterday. And now that I look at Q8(c), the only remaining question, I see an almost definite 7 marks that I missed. I can't believe how easy that last question was! Well, I guess my aim of 92 (aligned) in MX2 may be just out of reach now. =[

But anyway, as was mentioned above, Terry Lee's answer for Q5(b)(iii) is wrong. He said the answer was (x-1)2(x2+3x+3), when it was actually (x-1)2(x2+2x+3).

Happy studying for MX1!

i think 65-68 scales should scale to ban 6(>90%) comparing to 2 unit, thats to go to your uai though
i think 70 is the mark to get to get an E3 though, cause its an extension subject and the highest is e4

how long did it take him to answer the whole paper?
$5 worth of money that i dont have says it was longer than 3 hrs

I agree. It should be but when I downloaded his solutions yesterday they said that answer not the incorrect one mentioned above. I assume he corrected his answers in response to your post?

Anyway his answer for Q5(c)(iii) I think is wrong. Aren't we integrating with respect to h from -b to b not -a to a?

Can you spot the problem with the solution method in Q1d? The answer is correct. I wonder why nobody queries that.
