Does anyone have anything intelligent to say about Atwood's poem? What do you think it has to say about inner journeys?
I'm using it, but for physical journey. But basically, Atwood is saying how journeys can be difficult but requires perserverance, like all journeys.AbeGettysburg said:Does anyone have anything intelligent to say about Atwood's poem? What do you think it has to say about inner journeys?

Oh man you're not serious are you?LottoX said:The graphic of the blue pants which couples the poem reinforces the idea of the "Journey into the Interior" of my pants.
And i was trying to poke some fun at the stupid anal-ology XiA used <3LottoX said:I was trying to poke some fun at the stupid graphic the BoS used.
no worries, lolI said if you CAN pick one of the two aforementioned texts and show how it relates to journeys by effectively linking text type techniques with its effect, then definitely choose this over say the road not taken (bahahaha i think we all bash this text too much )
Not everyone is capable of analysing 'difficult' texts so don't choose it if it's not you; if you are capable of doing it though then YES jump straight for it.
Also sorry to deconstruct you, but that was a completely irrelevant point when you mentioned how SOMEONE will be doing the same text as you. Of course that becomes an axiom then, the point is some texts are more popular choices than others and hence it is harder to find meaning in it which isn't cliched.
Bah i know i must sound so harsh, but definitely choose a text which corresponds with your ability (and of course links well with your other texts, if anyone else wants to use a truism on me )!!
like you said, texts which are harder to make relevant cant be done properly by everyone so just be aware of ur own capabilitieschoose a text which corresponds with your ability
