what did people get for that inverse thingy like the f-1(x) ?
just want to see if what i did was right i rushed it

yeaps.. i got that too..laurel18 said:i think the inverse was: y=e^(x-1)
don't worry...many people at my school thought it was hard...so you're not alone...Good luck for your other exam mateKutay said:boz.... yeh i screwed it lol anyhow if i pass i will be happy anyhow 1 more exam to go
i couldn't get the first part either.. hopefully i got the second part right.. i tried and i tried for the first part.. i got something similar.. but it wasnt it! =.="""Trev said:If I didn't make any stupid mistakes I should get 73/84l I couldn't get neither the binomial or induction questions (it would have helped if I had done the binomial exercise, and revised induction since year 11 I spose ). Couldn't do the first part of the cone question either, apart from that it was all kosher
if i remember correctly i got -root10<=x<=root10ishq said:It was a good paper!
I don't think I did too bad!
We had the last Binomial Question cancelled - rest was same!
People - just one question:
For the Motion in a straight line, when it asked for sets of values for x, was it
x<- sqrt 10 and x> sqrt 10
Because that's what i got...and it looked a bit dodgy...
NO MORE MATH!!!
(till the hsc)
Why?FinalFantasy said:if i remember correctly i got -root10<=x<=root10
damn.. hopefully i still get some marks then.. beause i just didnt minus the volume of the top part so i couldnt get my answer... damnFinalFantasy said:the cone one u need to use tan 45=radius\1
so radius=1
the smaller radius is =1-h
den u do volume of that thing =total volume minus volume up da top part
den get V=pi\3 [1-(1-h)³] and expanding it yields the required expression
how do u get the < and > signs? im a bit confused, i left my answer with ='sFinalFantasy said:if i remember correctly i got -root10<=x<=root10
pi/40? Now this is scaring me.k3tan said:rofl i had r=h-1 written on my page... fucksake
when h=0.5, i got something around pi/40 which is probably wrong
i dunnoishq said:Why?
It was a parabola - those values would be below the x-axis...how can you have that?
