So.
There is a very morbid mood amongst my friends as everyone is stressing like crazy as the countdown towards the first exam continues. So I thought I should lighten the mood with:

THE BEST THINGS ABOUT THE HSC! :awesome:

I personally am more of a half-glass full kind of guy.
So here it goes:
1) Not having to do chores around the house
2) Using "gotta study" as an excuse to reject invitations to events I don't really want to go to.
3) Having priority over juniors in the school library.

What are your perks?

If you have a good brain, you don't need as much study. So there are those lucky people who get top marks with almost no study. I don't know, is that a high IQ or just good memory...? anyway im in year 10, looking forward very much to the HSC it seems extremely exciting for me, not stressing. My ATAR aim is 99.95.

I didn't know 'best' and 'HSC' could go into the same sentence.

Hours of study, ontop of hours of disappointment and then you drive along the tracks of burning out. Hmm.. i say it is the beginning to more pain when we enter uni.

it's the start of the end of highschool :). The start of adulthood.

In regards to half-full, half empty- look how cool this is

There are some perks! I use the "need to study" excuse all the time. Being a shy/awkward person like myself, being by yourself for a while just studying, relaxing and concentrating on what you need to do for a while isn't all too bad. I like the sound of the next 6 weeks, despite all the study, because I'm motivated for a particular mark and following uni course/career so I'm just excited to do my hsc and see how i go :)

- the fact that the HSC is actually a joke compared with how teachers exaggerate it in year 10 :p
- the fact that we can complain together about how HSC English (Advanced) is such a shit subject, since ext 1 and ext 2 english are both better

I'll try to think of more though

What I think I will enjoy about the HSC is as follows.

  • SpiralFlex will be fighting for his freedom and enjoying the challenge every single way. Struggles and triumphs.

  • The many dreams I have had since I was a child will be stretched and tested. The soft auromatic winter's sky of 2012 will be breathing down my neck and urging Spiral to continue even though he is down.

  • The feeling of respect from all teachers when walking into the school.

  • The fact that everyone will protect their marks this year will probably be motivating me throughout the year.

  • The end of school is near, although I do not like this fact. I have had an amazing school life.

  • And of course, delicious humans to feast on.

I don't know where to start with this, it's so wrong. And kids that get 99.95 know what the HSC is about. If you were a Year 12 kid, and you said this, I'd say you'd have no hope of getting 99.95.

But, you're in Year 10, so have time. :p

lol part of this reminds me of myself in year 10. the whole "looking forward to the hsc"
and i said i wouldnt be stressed cause every week id make notes on my subjects and that everyday after school, id study my notes so then i wont stress at all and everything will be great.
that lasted about 1 week at best.
