Re: The Official Cricket Thread

Luke Ronchi was pretty good in 20 20 don't know what happened to him.
Yeah hes a pretty handy keeper batsman I think he has 2 centuries this season in the Ryobi Cup. Unfortunately he hasnt really made a big score in the BBL

Re: The Official Cricket Thread

What happened to that other wicketkeeper we tried for like one game... Manou, or something?
Didn't like him tbh

tomorrow's forecast is windy with showers. the overcast conditions should help australia.
Depends if the forecast is true, hopefully though

Dropped and never called up, like so many other players

Re: The Official Cricket Thread

Haddin didn't come out to bat so... I dunno if he'll pick up his form though. Chances are, we'll never know now.
Historic trend is not to change a winning side mid series unless the wins are tentative.

I thought Australia would destroy India by an innings but its looking fairly interesting now. Imagine if there was some crazy finish like there was 4 years ago + Clarke's 300 + Tendulkars 100th international 100 all in the 100th Test Match at the SCG. We're probably gonna remember this test match for the rest of our lives

Re: The Official Cricket Thread

australia win by an innings and 68 runs. 5 for hilfenhaus.

that pretty much wraps up the series for australia, i cant see india winning at the WACA.

Well it is a pretty big feat... however they have been going on about it for a while.

Re: The Official Cricket Thread

I thought he was gonna get the 100 but... Clarke got him out. That part-time bowler thing.

I remember when we were playing South Africa a few years back and Clarke was on like 146 or something and really cruising - and then SA put JP Duminy to bowl. iirc, Clarke was out first ball and... I was a very unhappy camper.

Was a decent match, australia deserved it.

I want (to see) that 100th 100!

yes it is a big feat but the only batsmen who could get this record would be batsmen who played a considerable amount of tests and one day internationals. so pretty much only modern era players.

Clarke bowls great against the Indian's though so it wasn't completely unexpected. Duminy is pretty handy as well.

In India in his maiden series, along with 3 in 5 balls (albeit against tail enders) the last time India were in Australia.

Re: The Official Cricket Thread

I wonder if Nathan Lyon will be kept for the WACA test then.

He should be kept. The WACA won't turn much but dropping him for one match (Adelaide is after) would be stupid. Keep him in the team for experience.
